We’re so excited to welcome you to beautiful Bordeaux! Most of our guests will be travelling from Ireland and Australia, so we’ve put together some travel tips below.
From Ireland 🇨🇮
There is one direct flight daily with Aer Lingus from Dublin (DUB) to Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport (BOD). Alternatively, there are flights with connections or flights to Paris.
Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport is approximately 12km from the city centre. It is very easy to grab an Uber or Taxi from there. The drive takes around 30- 40mins to get into the city. Alternatively, there is also a tram stop at the airport which will go into city and an airport shuttle bus that goes to Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station.
From Australia 🇦🇺
We suggest flying to Paris (CDG) and then connect to Bordeaux by train or a short domestic flight.
Paris to Bordeaux by Train 🚄
There is a high-speed train from Gare Montparnasse directly to Bordeaux Saint-Jean, which takes approximately 2 hours. We recommend booking early via Trainline or SNCF.
Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station is located approximately 3km from the city centre. There is a tram directly in front of the station which takes you into the city. Tram tickets can be booked for single trips, day & multi-day passes easily at the tram stop.
